Spacious room with a wonderful view
The Curbar Edge kingsize room was exactly what we needed – spacious, warm, and incredibly comfortable, with en suite facilities providing a great countryside view. The menu was impressive, featuring local ingredients, and I absolutely loved the dinner options, particularly the famous pie that was deliciously prepared. A small improvement would be fixing the combination shower as adjusting the temperature was tricky and it tended to drip a lot, which was a bit annoying.

The King Room with Mountain View offered an impressive sight of the landscape, creating a fantastic ambiance for relaxation. The diversity of dinner options, including local ingredients, adds a nice touch to the overall experience.
On my second night, the shower malfunctioned, leaving me unable to adjust the temperature. The following morning was particularly troublesome—no electric power sockets, no Internet, and no hot water due to another guest tripping the entire pub’s power, which hints at a lack of overnight supervision for urgent issues. Displaying an emergency contact number in rooms would improve the situation significantly.

Warm village pub experience
The inviting atmosphere at Derwentwater Arms made me feel right at home. The shower was fantastic, and dining at the pub was a delightful treat with hearty meals.
I encountered a pretty irritating hiccup during my stay when I woke up to find no hot water, as another guest had tripped the power. There were no staff available overnight, which raised some concerns.

I stayed for 2 nights in the King Room with Mountain View and it was super spacious and cozy! The bed was super comfy too, really felt like a nice retreat. Plus, stunning countryside views right outside. Only downside? The shower controls could be a bit tricky. Definitely felt well looked after during my stay!

The king room with a mountain view was just gorgeous, and I really appreciated the little touches made by the staff, like restocking the toiletries! We enjoyed lazy afternoons on the sun terrace and also loved unwinding in the garden area. The only hiccup was the shower needed some adjusting, but overall, this stay was fantastic! 😊

spacious dog-friendly room, ample parking space, stunning countryside views
The restaurant cutting off orders at 6:30 pm seems a tad early for a pub!!! A bit more flexibility in dining hours would be nice!!! dirty carpet in the breakfast lounge was off-putting!!!
